Tunturi Platinum support: E1 error due to excessive sensor distance

When the E1 error occurs, check that the speed sensor of the treadmill is not too far from the magnet (2-3 mm max). Then verify that the sensor is working.
Some sensors, such as the one in Tunturi Platinum treadmills, have a double casing, which makes reading more difficult.
Following the instructions below, it is possible to remove a part of the double casing, without risking damage to the sensor, which remains however covered by dust and external agents.

1) Open the sensor
2) Identify the lower sensor cover (B in the picture)
3) Cut the front part of the lower cover by removing the excess plastic
4) Reassemble the sensor and fix it
5) Still doesn’t work? Buy a replacement sensor here: http://www.partsfortreadmill.com/parts-for-treadmill/speed-sensor-for-treadmill/
You can buy spare parts (REED sensor and magnet) on our treadmill spare parts shop www.partsfortreadmill.com .

Treadmill safety key

Have you lost the safety key of your treadmill?
There are three types of security keys:
1) external switch
In this case there is a small switch that interrupts the supply circuit, if it is released. A magnet in the safety key keeps the switch pressed.
2) contact
in this case the safety key generates an electrical contact in the console, through the two metal tips that can be seen in the picture, acting as a switch itself.

3) magnetic
in this case the switch is on the back of the console and is activated by a magnet in the safety key.

There are many different shapes of security keys, some more specific, such as the one shown in the picture

If you have lost the security key of your treadmill, you can purchase the replacement on our e-shop http://www.partsfortreadmill.com/parts-for-treadmill/treadmill-safety-key/

Star Gym Treadmill assistance: E1 error for magnetic speed sensor treadmills

E1: when the E1 message appears on the console after about 5-10 seconds, it means that no speed signal has been detected.
Solutions to the problem:
• check that the speed sensor is correctly connected to the control board;
• check the presence of the magnet on the front roller pulley;
• check that the sensor cable is not damaged or there is no damage to the sensor itself;
• check the distance L = about 3mm (see picture) of the sensor from the magnet on the front roller pulley; if sensor iss too far or too close to the pulley may cause error;
• replace the sensor;
if it still doesn’t work check control board, motor, cabling and console.

Halley Fitness Assistance: Noise from the cross trainer (elliptical)

Many problems on cross trainers are caused by imperfect assembly and can be solved easily.
1) check that all parts are correctly and sufficiently tightened (check with the instruction booklet). The nuts and screws must be tightened at regular intervals because they may become loose with use.
2) The joints can be lubricated with vaseline or light grease. Periodically check that the nuts are tight, that they move freely and are well lubricated. It is advisable to use a very light grease or vaseline, avoiding the use of multipurpose oils such as WD-40.
3) In case there is excessive play in the cross trainer arms it may be necessary to add spacers to remove the space that causes noise (click clack) from your cross trainer.
For cross trainers with front flywheel, check also:
1) cleaning of the sliding tracks, which must be subsequently lubricated with a silicone-based spray. Remember to also check the condition and the cleaning of the wheels.
2) alignment of pipes and pedals. Especially during assembly, do not fasten nuts for the tracks and for the front upright. You have to try several times to rotate the pedals and the handlebars by hand and then adjust the position of the front pillar, the handlebars and the tracks so that everything is perfectly aligned.

Body Masters, HealthRider, Greenmaster, Reebok assistance | measurement of electric current at initial speed

We report a tip to measure the electric current at initial speed which works for treadmills branded Body Masters, HealthRider, Greenmaster, Reebok and others.

1) Select the value of 40A in direct current on the clamp of the amperometer
2) Reset the instrument

3-4) Hook the red wire of the motor with the clamp and carry out the reading. The measurement should be done with the treadmill switched on at the speed of 0.8 km/h.
The measurement carried out should not exceed 2 A, otherwise it means that there are probably engine failures (overcurrent / current leaks).
Buy on our e-shop spare parts to get assistance on Body Masters, HealthRider, Greenmaster, Reebok, and all brands of commercial and domestic treadmills.
