To find out if the board hasn’t been corrupted etc. …these procedures must be followed

- With the board installed and treadmill switched off at the main switch, keep an eye on the red LED on the board (the only one there). If it is turned on by the main switch, LED MUST NOT turn itself on at the same time as the switch, but it should turn on after a slight delay.

At the beginning is a "flash" almost imperceptible, then lights steadily. If it happens the LED to light up immediately after switch on the treeadmill, the board is corrupted and you will have to replace the board (repair is not possible due to IC corruption).

Other cases in which the board is not repairable, always linked to the LED are:
- LED fixed on immediately with a dim light.
- LED off completely, but the dashboard is on (likely to be the microprocessor).

If the card is not corrupted or does not have a damaged microprocessor, then it may be possible to repair it.

E6 treadmill motor inclination error

The E6 error is normally related to the missing/incorrect reading of the signal position of the inclination motor and derives 99% from the motor tilt and problems in the connection because the motor board passes the signal directly to the console, without any modification. They are therefore rare cases of errors E6 dependent on the motor board.

The steps to follow are for treadmills with an Astar type board (it may not be the same for all consoles).
1) press reset + incline down to enter engineering mode
2) press mode 4 times to get into test mode
3) press start to start
4) incline up and down to test inclination

if it moves up and down, check if the ADC value changes (if it does not change, it means that the motor inclination signal is interrupted – a broken wire or bad connection)
if it does not move, usually the motor connections are wrong, check however if LED 2 or 3 turns on.

The board calibrates itself when powering up so it can the treadmill can move by itself when it connects to the new board if signals don’t return.

Through the console in some cases it is also possible to adjust the tilt but this adjustment only affects the console and the tilt motor (it may be necessary when changing the inclination motor). Note on some boards for this purpose there is a special LEARN button.

One last note. The tilt motor has a thermal sensor so if you start to go up and down to test the tilt after a while of going backwards and forwards the motor warms up and goes into protection, giving the same error code.

To help ensure the long life of a treadmill you should perform routine maintenance.

Each week:
remove deposits of dust, dirt or traces of sweat from the treadmill with a damp cloth. Do not use detergent under the running belt. Be careful not to splash water or let in moisture between the edge of the display panel and the console. Inspect the walking belt to make sure it runs straight and smoothly.

Every 15 days or based on usage
It is important for better performance of the treadmill to apply silicone spray to lubricate the deck. Lubricant is inserted between the belt and the deck, in the center, which is the part more subject to increased friction and wear.

Each month:
vacuum to remove dust or dirt that may have formed in or on the sides of the treadmill. Check the components of the structure to make sure that the mounting screws are not loose, and tighten if necessary.

If the decal resin at the side of the main frame of the treadmill becomes unstuck just warm them with a hair dryer and apply light pressure with your hand to make them adhere to the surface.
If you removed the protective plastic of the console you should clean it with triellina or turpentine to remove residual glue especially on the LEDs.

Treadmill Er1 speed sensor fault
1 ) Make sure there is nothing stuck inside
2) Check that the speed sensor isn't loose or defective.
3) Replace the speed sensor (buy it here: Speed sensor for treadmill )

Treadmill Er2 motor connection error
1) Check if the connection cables to the motor are loose. (buy cables here: chokes, breakers, cables)
2) Please contact us for further tests and to identify the faulty component.

Treadmill Er3 PC or motor system control error
1) Check if the connection cables to the console and to the motor control system (MCB) are loose or damaged.

2) Make sure that the cables of the heart rate detectors are not loose.

After performing the above checks and steps, try to restart the machine and check if the error is still showing. If the error persists, please contact us for assistance.

If problems are found in the detection of pulses from the treadmill, check the following:

Some treadmills have a pulse sensor ear, such as the Carnielli CTP 201: Verify that the pulse sensor (ear clip) is correct: this treadmill requires a dedicated sensor with the 14mm plug connection to the console (see Figure 13); If the treadmill has a shorter sensor, values can be off kilter or missing; also check that the sensor cable is not damaged and bent, or has exposed copper wiring.

In most treadmills the sensor is handpulse (eg Carnielli CTP 401): Verify that the console connection has been made correctly; verify that there are no interruptions on the cables between the console and the two sensors, including the connection between the two cables (see Figure 14); verify that the cable attachment on the pulse sensor is not damaged (see Figure 15).

is damaged or does not transmit a pulse (Fig. 16).
