Ergo bike and cross trainer assistance: Display problems (ergometers)

How to solve the most common problems with the display of ergometers (electronic resistance regulation)
No power:
1) Check that the power supply cable is firmly inserted into the bike socket
2) Check with a tester that the power supply emits voltage (usually works from 6 VDC to 9 VDC)
3) Check the cables that connect the display to the bike. Try disconnecting and reconnecting the cables and making sure that all pins are straight (none should be bent) and that the connection is nice and tight.

Failed to set resistance or failed to read laps
Check the data cables that connect the display to the bike. Try disconnecting and reconnecting the cables and making sure that all pins are straight (none should be bent) and that the connection is nice and tight.
