Cross Trainer typical problems and solutions

The resistance can not be adjusted during use: the cable for the correct transmission of the brake resistance is ripped from the knob, or unlocked, or the knob is broken (for some crosstrainers it may also be that the actuator does not work properly).
Parameters on the display are not displayed: the cable that leads the signal from the speed sensor to the computer may be faulty, or the sensor or the computer itself is defective and must be replaced.
Pedal crunch: a pedal may be defective or the pedal pad is to be replaced.
Noise from the handlebar: here a pin or bearings may have been damaged. Replacing the bearing and / or pin must be done professionally.
As a special subgroup of ergometers and cross trainers, there are ellipticals with the flywheel at the front, under the handlebars. Some specific problems may arise with those ellipticals.
The flywheel produces loud noises during training: here the flywheel must be removed and replaced with a new one or the ball bearings in the flywheel are blocked (this should always be done by an expert).

Cross Trainer typical problems & solutions (with magnetic brake or electric induction braking system)

Brake resistance:
Cross Trainer with Magnetic Brake: The torsion knob for transmission of the flywheel resistance is damaged (for a cross trainer with motor it may also be that the actuator does not work properly).
Cross Trainer with Induction Brake: probably depending on computer defect or loose cable.
The parameters on the display are not displayed: the cable may be defective, or the sensor or the computer itself is defective and must be replaced.
Problems deriving from the pulley: the belt may have been removed from the pulley (to analyze this, it is usually necessary to remove the crank set and often you need a special extractor to remove cranks and analyze the problem inside the unit). The belt may be damaged or broken and should be replaced.
Elliptic with track system:
Noise from the rollers: the rubber roller is worn or broken or the tracks are worn or not properly cleaned.

T85 Tunturi Treadmill - DATA TRANSFER ERROR

Unlike the other errors, this is generated by the user interface. It indicates that it cannot get response from the power board. The reasons for this might be:

• After reseting the treadmill after an error message lower board needs certain time to recover from the error. If the treadmill is switched on too soon the lower is still busy and can not communicate with the user interface.

• The power board is in software update mode and does not function until the software has been updated. If updating of the power board does not succeed after at least two trials and the cable connectors (and connectors’ pins) are checked to be OK, the power board needs to be replaced.

Universal treadmill board and console kit to be used with 8 to 9 cm diameter DC motors

Universal kit, which includes a board and a console for treadmill. To be used with 8 to 9 diameter DC 180-230V motors.
Please note:
If your treadmill has manual tilt or your inclination motor doesn’t have position encoder, please contact us.
Functioning of the universal replacement kits and treadmill consoles
This kit is made up of:
Console with LCD backlight;
Display: 109 x 44 mm LCD,
Speed range 0.8 ~ 14 km / h
Motor controller board capable of driving engines up to 9 cm in diameter
Security key
Magnetic sensor kit + magnet to be placed on the treadmill roller to read the speed
Console Features
     Security key
Provides reading of BMI (body mass index) and body fat
Gradient control: engine inclination on 12 levels
     Programs: 1 manual, 7 pre-set programs, 3 targets, 2 HRCs and 2 user-set programs
Easy control of speed, tilt and start / stop
Predisposition for heartbeat control (via hand pulse or chest-belt by means of a special adapter)
Installation
Install the wiring of the new kit, possibly drilling the original console plastic
Remove the original controller of the treadmill, including any transformers connected to it. You no longer need any transformer because the new controller is self-powered.
Put the new engine card in the place of the old one, and then reconnect the cables
Connect speed sensor 2 pins If the old board did not have speed sensor -> install the 2 pins sensor provided in the kit on the roller
If the old board had a 3 or 4 pins sensor -> remove the old sensor and install the 2 pins sensor provided in the kit on the roller
Connect 3 pins inclination sensor
Connect Console data cable: 4 pins
Connect Main motor cables: two faston connectors, M + (red) and M- (black)
Connect Inclination Motor power cables: Three Faston Connectors, White COM - Red UP - Black DOWN
Connect AC power cables (place on AC connectors).
Connect the console cables, in particular the motor-console data cable and any other connectors (handpulse, additional keyboards), as shown in the attached scheme
Now paste the new console, using the two-sided tape supplied with the kit.
Check the console manual to see all functions: download the manual here
